Transfer of Group Blog Ownership.

I like the idea of group blogs, but although moderators can be appointed I notice that ownership cannot be transferred. I've started a group blog on democracy in Britain, and suggested we elect moderators. But we have no way of electing the owner.

Also, regarding any group blog, if the owner loses interest, or no longer has the time (or Internet connection) to manage the group, the whole group will suffer.

Can we have a feature whereby the owner can transfer ownership, please?

It is possible to change ownership.

Go to 'My BCUK' -> 'Groups'. Click on the group you want to change the ownership of, then click 'Change ownership'. You can only change the ownership to a current moderator. When you do this, only the new owner can change ownership.
